ELIT is the official 3M France distributor for Nextel fibers and fabrics, alumina-based technical materials offering excellent resistance in high-temperature environments.
Although Nextel products are sometimes referred to as "ceramic fibers" in everyday language, they do not belong to the regulated or prohibited families of refractory fibers.
Available in continuous fibers, technical fabrics, tapes and braided sleeves, Nextel solutions are a high-performance, stable and perfectly compliant offering, adapted to the thermal requirements of the most demanding industrial sectors.

Nextel 312 

  • Operating temperature: up to 1100°C
  • Features: good thermal insulation, wide range of fabrics, sheaths and tapes, excellent durability.
  • Typical applications: industrial insulation, pipe cladding, thermal protection.

Nextel 440

  • Operating temperature: up to 1370°C
  • Features: enhanced mechanical resistance, excellent performance in harsh environments.
  • Typical applications: high-temperature protection, applications subject to high thermal and mechanical stress.

Nextel 610 (trading)

  • Operating temperature: up to 1370°C
  • Characteristics: fiber with very high alumina content (≈ 99%), high mechanical strength.
  • Typical applications: high-performance composites, aerospace applications.

Nextel 720 (trading)

  • Operating temperature: up to 1200-1370°C
  • Features: excellent thermal resistance, dimensional stability even under extreme conditions.
  • Typical applications: insulation and protection in critical environments (aerospace, nuclear, military).
